Stainless Steel 3-piece Ball Valve (1/2")
The ultimate ball valve. This full port 3-piece ball valve is made of 304 stainless steel and completely disassembles for easy and thorough cleaning. It uses teflon seals to resist high temperatures. The full port design will have a minimal pressure drop because of its full size ports, and the quick 1/4 turn handle is insulated. It is 1/2" female NPT threaded on both ends.

Stainless Steel 2-piece Ball Valve (1/2")
This full port valve is made of 304 stainless steel construction, including the ball. A full port valve will have a minimal pressure drop because of its full size ports. What, did you guys wait for me to order one at your list price of 14.99 three hours ago and then decide to put them on sale?

I apologize to AHS and everyone for poorly stating my post--it was meant as a "smack myself in the head", not as a complaint about AHS, which is an awesome vendor.
I sat on my order for two days while I tweaked it, and finally got my act together this afternoon and hit the button....and this announcement comes out literally 3 hours later. That price for the 3-piece valve is tremendous....I would have ordered that item. I don't want to contact them and screw up their order-filling process just to stop and scramble around for me. Besides, I just know they're gonna throw in that 50 bucks into....the order after mine! 
Don't ever get in line behind me at the grocery store...guaranteed to be the slowest. I just have the worst luck...

what exactly are these used for? I'm planning on adding a valve to my brewpot, is this the right valve for the job?

Yes, because I am pretty sure that Forrest literally looked at the order I placed two weeks ago and is placing everything I bought on sale to rub it in my face. Last week it was the Barley Crusher, this week the ball valve, and next week it will either be the 5lbs of assorted bottle caps or the universal foam stopper.
On a more serious note, posts like this are a way to bump the thread and show that the product is a great buy even if it isn't on sale. It also serves to make everyone who is able to participate in the sale feel like they got a good deal since they paid less than that poor schmuck that paid full price. Our pain is your joy. |
