what is the bottom made out of/what is the manufacturing?
i.e. is it just 1mm thick ss, or is it layered copper with ss and aluminum? etc.

Hi QsnotPs - Polar Ware offers different lines of products. Some more economy focused, some others higher end. Is there a particular model you are asking about? I'm happy to try and get you the information you are looking for.
Thank you for considering us!

I'm unimpressed with this answer. You linked only two pots, both were economy grade. Just say what the bottom is made out of. Is is clad or not? Nobody is going to hold the answer against you, but it sure looks bad when you avoid the question that to me was fairly obvious.
JMHO, and I've spent well over 1k in online brewing purchases this year. Sorry, I don't like coming off like a hater, but that (non) answer just left a bad taste in my mouth.

I'm unimpressed with your post. He was offering to help you find out the construction of any specific Polar Ware pot that you could ask for. Seemed like a pretty helpful gesture to me, especially when you could just as easily go here:
http://www.polarware.com/home-brewing/brew-pots-covers.php
and click on "Request more Information".

Jbaysurfer – very sorry you felt our response was lacking. Honestly, we were just trying to seek clarification so we could get you the answer you were looking for, because the answer to your question is not a Yes or No, but rather, a Yes AND No. Polar Ware manufacturers a wide assortment of brew pots – some of which use single layer bottoms, others that are triclad. And even within that range, there is variance on the thickness of steel used by sub-line of products.
The majority of pots we sell are single clad bottoms, including the economy pots you referenced, however, we have also sold their tri clad bottom offerings, and do so often – but most typically on a special order basis.
Please know that we were not intending to be elusive in any way. We really do just want to provide accurate, solid customer service. Let us know if you have any additional questions and please reference the particular model you are inquiring about.
We hope to have the opportunity to serve you.
