I also laughed at the reference! and I am also excited to play with this yeast, 1056 has become a major workhorse here. Any ideas what it would do in a beer that isn't highly hopped? Say a vanilla bean porter.....

sounds great Forrest, I am looking at liquid yeasts again when it cools down. October should be good enough.

Can you tell us anymore about it? Is it mutated 1056? How did wyeast come up with this new strain? It sounds great, it is going to take a heckuva yeast to supplant pacman in my brewery, but I am always open!

We told Wyeast what features we were looking for. They researched their vault of over 200 yeasts that are not on the market.
I think it will be one of the best all-around yeasts available.

A vault full of mysterious yeast. It's like the groundwork for a homebrew heist movie.
