Default Leinenkugel's Sunset Wheat Kit - Austin Homebrew Supply

You have been asking for this for years and I finally made a clone.

Here is a link:

http://www.austinhomebrew.com/product_info.php?products_id=12459

There are a lot of people that love this beer and there are haters.

Please don't fill this thread with the fact that you don't like this beer.

To each his own.

Forrest

Forrest - Would it be possible to get more recipe detail on the website?

For example; this recipe is 10lbs of grain for ~$30. What else is in the recipe to make it worth that? Your Pliny description is a good example of what I'm asking for, for all recipes.

The all grain version is $23.49. It has wheat malt and 2-row, Cluster hops, coriander, and flavoring.

I realize this post was over 3 years ago, but I'm pondering making this for my sister since it's the only beer she's found to like. By goal is to use it as a gateway drug and prep her palate for other beer flavors. Anyone know the amounts of grains used?

Clicking on the link in the first thread,

Extract: 7 lb Liquid Malt Extract, .5 lb Specialty Grains
Mini Mash: 5 lb Liquid Malt Extract, 1.5 lb Base Grains, 1.5 lb Specialty Grains
All Grain: 6 lb Base Grains, 4 lb Specialty Grains

If you want to know the exacts, buy a kit and it will come with an itemized list of what's in it.

Has anyone else brewed this from Austin? Mine has been bottle conditioning for almost a week now. When I tasted it during bottling the flavoring was super strong, to the point it was almost unpalatable. Does anyone know if they mellow out?
