Is that coop on the north side of Austin?
When we went up there in June SWMBO's cousin was telling me about it, how it's some sort of brewpub where people pay for memberships and you can sell them a keg, and poof it's in the bar?..something like that.
Austin has got so many breweries popping up as of late, it's definitely a town to be in if making beer is your business. Just one more reason why as soon as we get done with school I'm packing it up and heading there.
If I can work in a brewery and make beer all day and then go play guitar in a bar for free beer once or twice a month I am happy.
ALSO CONGRATS FORREST! GOOD LUCK!

It's on the north side of town but south of HWY 183
The map is on this page.

Yeah the craft beer and homebrew scene is pretty big here in Austin. Entreprenuers are finding that people are willing to pay more for a finely crafted microbrew. People here are also very loyal and actively seek out these beers and some pubs do their best to have these beers available. This is good for Roughness as well as Jester King, Circle, Independence, 512 and others.

As one of the owners of the now closed (don't ask) The Hangtown Brewery, I can tell you; be prepared for headaches with the BATF(e), the Labeling division, the local Health dept. and drunk & obnoxious customers. Other than that BREW-ON!.......WOOHOOOO GO FOR IT!

Never a brewpub. A microbrewery. Brewpub has to serve a lot of food. Not my cup of tea.

Oh please please consider making a porter. I would much rather be buying my porters from Austin than Maui.
