Confused on the corny basket - you can't put the lid on with the basket I guess?

It looks like it is to filter while racking... Too bad that means the first half of the rack would get aerated as heck, since it doesn't touch the bottom of the keg.

I'm confused too.

I had a customer request that one, He wanted to try it out for filtering hot/cold break and possible flameout hop additions thrown directly into the boil kettle

Don't know if it would be possible but if you could design a filter that would (somehow) hang in the interior of the keg and allow for closing the lid/pressurization you would have a market. It would be easier than dealing with paint strainers and dental floss...

Couldn't you just make one with a screw on lid (or any lid) that had a D-loop on it that could be dropped in and then you could just use a coat hanger to fish it out.

Yes, you can steal this idea if you want.
