Homebrew Deal Day
|
|
I want to stat a industry wide day that all homebrew stores have everything on sale or at least put out a few great deals. I think August 1st would be good day for this.
How do we get the word to all LHBS stores?
I think homebrewers would surf the homebrew stores online on that day and they would find stores that they didn't know about. Also, you could get people started brewing on that day.
What do you guys think?
You could go to your LHBS and ask them what are they going to offer on Homebrew Deals Day. You know on August 1st. I am surprised that you don't know about it. All of the homebrewstores are doing it. Even Austin Homebrew.

Isn't there a "Teach A Friend To Homebrew Day"? Co-ordinate it with that. Stores like yours could have demonstrations going on along with a nice sale.

It'd certainly get me to buy stuff
Something different but in the same vein: I moderate a woodworking forum, and one of our vendors offers a discount to forum members. That seems to go over *very* well there.

I think that this is an incredible idea.
Forrest, it may take emails to other online stores from someone with your clout in order to get them all to participate though.

I want a seperate homebrewing holiday. I would contact other stores but I don't want to cross any line having to do with collusion or price fixing. I just want to have a united celebration of the magnificence of Homebrewing. I could come up with a flyer that you can print out and take to your LHBS store. It will not mention me or Austin Homebrew. It will just announce the national holiday.

Sounds like an ok deal, but i think there is little incentive for LHBS as most of their business is from loyal customers who will buy from them regardless. I could be wrong...
But as a consumer with no LHBS i would much rather prefer that online retailers spread out their sales so i can "Hop" around and hit all the sales.
The celebration of homebrew occurs every time i poor a pint of my finest...

Does the discount apply only to paid members?

Send me that flyer and I'll have it posted at my LHBS here in Ga.
