Default Hey Y'all...

Homebrewtalk forum is not Austin Homebrew's forum. I pop in when I can but not all the time.

If you have a question about a recipe or a product AHS sells, send an email or call the store. I usually sign in to homebrewtalk when I am not at work. The recipes and other info is at work.

I have 2 full time people that answer the phone and emails so they will answer quickly.

I wish I could (maybe not) memorize all 850 recipes.

It will actually take longer when you pm me, because I have to send it to the store than they have to send the answer back to me and then I have to log in and send a pm because the store doesnt have your email address.

Thanks for your understanding and your business.

Forrest

Thanks AHBS,

The only choice that we have here on Kodiak, AK is shipping grains/hops/yeast. I have had terrific experiences with AHBS. I just recently visited and bought ingredients for two recipes in Anchorage (only one homebrew supply store) and was surprised and deflated when the experience went south QUICK. They act like they are the only supply in the region (they are). I think that I will continue ordering from AHBS.

You usually sign into HBT when not at work? Ouch. I can't imagine wanting to mix most of my free time with business questions either.

I've never ordered anything from Arctic but in person they always seemed like pretty good guys, they even gave me a nice discount on an item because they were unsure of the price as it didn't have a tag on it. They probably don't do a lot of mail order business though so I could see where you might have problems. We're lucky enough to have a LHBS in Juneau even if they're fairly limited so I have to order most things from down south as well.

It sucks when I get a PM that I can't answer at night. Then I have to remember to look it up the next business day forward it to the info guys wait for a response and go back to the PM to answer it.

If they would have sent it straight to the info guys, it would save a whole lot of work and the answer would get there quicker.

I don't want to drop the ball and forget to look it up the next day or forget to send the answer, etc.

Its also fun when someone pms me about their order but the only info they give me is their homebrewtalk forum name.

I am glad to help but you have to help me help you.

Forrest
