Default Growler Fillers Are Here!

Growler Fillers for Perlick and R Type Faucets

A growler filler is an essential accessory for anyone that kegs or has beer on tap. Austin Homebrew Supply is now offering growler fillers for Perlick Perl and R type faucets. The growler filler fits inside the spout of the faucet and fills the growler from the bottom up. Bottom to top filling reduces foaming while filling. The Perlick Perl filler consists of a stainless steel fitting and a 12" hose. It is easy to use and easy to clean. Click here for more info on the Perlick Perl growler filler. Click here for info on the R type faucet growler filler. Cheers!

Wow! That looks fantastic. Might get this instead of the Bowie Bottle since I have been on the waiting list for almost two months now.

The guy works on them in his spare time, hence the wait. He's not a growler filler manufacturer by profession. If I understand correctly, he was the one who first machined the piece to fit into the perlick tap. If the wait is that frustrating for you, transfer your spot to me, please.

I don't think he meant any ill-will towards Bowie, he was just stating the wait has been awhile.

Just stating that bowie isn't a manufacturing warehouse that spends 12 hours a day churning these out. He makes them one piece at a time, by hand, in his spare time. If someone told him they want one, they should follow through.

On second thought, bowie is probably relieved that theres now a manufacturer for them.....unless theyre made in china.

Didn't mean anything bad by it at all, but not sure how much longer I want to wait. I certainly understand his schedule and the fact that he has health issues, which is why it takes a while to get one. I appreciate the fact that he was the only option for perlick taps, but now it appears there is another option. Will give Mr. Bowie another week or so and then I will order the one from AHS.

Ok guys, let's keep it simple here... Simply attach a piece of 12" long, 1/2" ID silicone tubing over your Perlick. No need for an expensive stainless part. Been doing this for years and it works just the same...

only thing is that with as much room in a 1/2"ID hose off the faucet it adds more turbulence until whatever vessel your filling fills enough to create a little back pressure to the faucet to run smooth.. with an insert it keeps the ID in check with less chance of picking up more o2.. i am talkin about filing for a competition that could take weeks to get your bottles sampled.. I've had oxidation show up in less than a week with regular filled growlers from breweries using the hose over the faucet method even letting it flow a second before filing..
