Ok guys good info. I was thinking in the $18-25 range plus shipping so we are not terribly far apart. Fedex says I can ship them as is with no box so I am going to try that out in the next few days. I am hoping to have the shipping come out to $10 or so per barrel. These sold on ebay a couple of years ago for $25-$37 each shipped so I think I am right in line there. The lid is really thick JonW so I dont think mounting a mill would be an issue and in fact that is a great idea. As for the wine odor, it is not like you screw off the top and it slaps you in the face. It is just a little lingering odor. Some actually dont have any odor at all. Each is different. Would you guys feel better about paying a touch more if I went ahead and bleach soaked them for a week before I offered them?

Once mine gets here I'll be happy to prep it and get to brewing something right away. I'm betting a few hours soaking in hot water and oxyclean will do the trick.
I don't mind mine coming as is, I avoid using bleach for cleaning in the plastics

No, as I'd clean it anyway and a bleach soak wouldn't be a big deal to me. If I was using it for grain storage, I probably wouldn't even bother!

So to address the "Giveaway" part of the thread title, I'll take one. I'll clean it up, and if it fits in my ferm chamber, brew up 10 gallons of Porter and ferment in it. I'll report back in a month or so when it's finished and let you know how it went. Heck, I'll even send you a 12 pack of the porter so you can see for yourself. If it doesn't fit, I'll store some grain in it, then brew with those grains and report back and send you the beer. Shall I PM you my addy?

Where were you with these when I was looking for cheap grain storage last year?
I'll take 4-6 of them off your hands, possibly more. I've been using the Homer buckets, which works okay, but the lids are so cheap they keep splitting when I open them. This looks like just what I need.

Your pricing is still a good deal at 17 + 10 for shipping. Looking at the one I got for 18 dollars I realized is 1/3 the size of yours. Also a similar sized container from another retailer is much more expensive and the shape is odd. But they are new rather than used.

Mikeysab the giveaway part is going to be done through Facebook only and will be a random drawing. Be sure to like our page. Ill pull three names and send them one each. Although promises of free beer, specifically 12 packs of porter might sway the "randomness" of the drawing! LOL I am just kidding! Really guys this is awesome feedback and exactly what I was looking for. As always, HBT never lets me down!

KCBrewer I think I can hook you up! Let me work out the pricing and the logistics and I will be in touch. Seeing as how we are neighbors there obviously wont be any shipping invloved.
