Default FYI: Fermentis dry yeast price increase

If you are a fan of Fermentis yeast (US-05, Saflager, t-58, etc.) you had better stock up now. The price is about to go up. Saflager will come close to double in price.

Here is a link:Fermentis Yeast

I am here for you.

What will US-05 be going up to? Any word on when we can expect the price to go up?

70% increase on US-05.

Click on the link provided.

Costs have already gone up. Stores will be raising the price soon. Once the yeast they have now is sold out the new yeast they order will be at the new prices.

I would say the prices will start to go up by the end of the month.

Too bad - I like some of their yeasts, especially the 04. Will probably use more Danstar instead, do more washing, and/or go with liquid yeast. Thanks for the heads-up!

Yeah, my LHBS said that ALL of them will follow. When the liquid is $12, that will suck.

Looks like I picked a good time to learn to wash yeast.

Thanks Forrest for the warning !!
The new dry yeast prices are not too bad.

But, this should have been expected.

After the Grain shortage, Hop shortage, and now a yeast issue.

Oh and I forgot the Carboy issue of last year as well.
There will always be an "issue"
Next year there will be a corny shortage....... (just a guess)

Placed an order today and was shocked that 05 is now $3.69 at my LHBS.
