I know right now they are slammed because of the 10% off deal that's going on. Typically when I have ordered from Austin in the past, I would order on a Friday or Saturday and it would be in my possession at least by the next Friday. I'm guessing the place in MI you ordered your tun from just had to pull it off the shelf and ship. If you order grains and what not from AHBS, they have to take extra time to weigh them out and what not.

Be patient, they're probably just a little backed up!

They are pretty backed up right now, as SOB pointed out. I placed a pretty large order (not 500 lbs of bulk grain large, but 4 batches of extract + misc equipment large) and it took about 9-10 days to hit my doorstep. With some stores, I would consider that unreasonable. With a small store in the midst of a massive sale, that charged 6.99 to ship >60 lbs I consider that perfection.

Thanks, Forrest.

We process orders in the order they arrive to be fair to all customers.

We have the option to pay full UPS charges and the order goes out the same day. If you live 30-45 minutes away the same day option was probably close to the $6.99 "I can wait 2-4 business days for my order to ship" option.

It is a matter of cheap versus fast shipping. We have shipped over 4,000 orders so far this year. Stores that have far less volume can ship just about every order the same day. They also do not discount the shipping 60%.

I am sure you understand.

Yeah in the future I'll probably just use that option. I guess that's what I get for being a stingy bastard.

BTW...I just got back from picking up my order. Everybody was super nice and helpful. I'll definitely have to throw some business your way again.

Suggestion: When you have a 50-day/50-state sale...announce the dates for all 50 states from the get go. I waited and waited for my state to show up on the list and it never showed so after a while I got lazy and didn't check frequently enough...of course the day I checked it again was the day AFTER my state sale. So I missed it after waiting for it and wanting to take advantage of it. Even now there are question marks for the last few days/states.

Forrest, Can I do this as well? I've been waiting for Ohio to pop up since the sale began and I really need to put an order in...

I use Twitter via Twitterfox, so each morning I start up Firefox, I get a message telling me which state is having their sale today.
