So I brewed the AHS promotional Karankawa Pale Ale on Thursday the 25th. No chill procedure. I had added the AHS fuel to the boil at the 10 min mark. I pitched a 400ml slurry of WyYeast 1010, (American wheat) from a chilled and decanted starter on Friday the 26th at around 11pm. Used an old fashioned 6.5 gal glass carboy. There was a thin foam 'skin' by 8am Saturday and by Saturday afternoon the krausen was 1 inch deep. As of Monday Morning 8am the krausen is 3 inches and the wort is bubbling and roiling like crazy. It has no chance of busting out through the top of the carboy but fermentation is obvious and vigorous. I'm happy overall and have a positive view of the Fuel at this point.

I brewed a Brewer's Best Witbeir kit and added the yeast fuel sample. This is only my second batch so I'm very new at this, but my airlock was going crazy after 8 hours. Not seeing a big krausen yet though.

I brewed a Stout this past weekend and thru the yeast fuel in at the 10 min mark. I took a good 5+ minutes to get the capsule to start to dissolve. by the end of my boil I had to smash the capsule against the side of my pot to get it to fully dissolve. But it does appear to be working.

My timing is not exactly accurate for these shots. But you get the point.
I pitched Nottingham.

Approx 1 Hours After Pitching

Approx 2 Hours After Pitching

Approx 3 Hours After Pitching

Approx About 6 Hours After Pitching

Approx 8-10 Hours after pitching

Thanks for the photos. I will look into capsules that dissolve better. You can just open the capsule and pour in the Yeast Fuel instead.

Is that the fastest fermentation start you have had?

I had thought it might have been better to open it up, but that was after i tossed it in willy nilly. None the less once it was dissolved all was fine.

Yea this was the fastest start to fermentation I've had. I'm not a very seasoned brewer (5 batches under my belt), but I pitched this batch at around 1pm and by 8pm my blow off tube was burping like crazy. Unlike some of the others where it bubbles steadily, this would give out a pretty big burp every few seconds, then pause and do it again. It did that for the first 20-24 hours or so then went to the normal steady bubbling.

I pitched Nottingham in the batch before this (an IIPA) and it took over 12 hours to have the krausen fill the headspace of the carboy.
