Making 5gal of Arrogant Bastard w/Simcoe (Love this stuff!) instead of Chinook. I suppose this is as good of a brew as any to give this stuff a try on. I'm using S-04, and will report back after fermentation gets underway.
Lots of Krauesen 10 hours later, so it's definitely fermenting away, minor blowoff but I'm using a 7gal fermenter for a 5gal batch. I'll update with gravity readings after the krauesen drops a bit.
Still Krauesening 24 hours after my last update, I'll check gravity this evening and let everyone know what we're at.
SG @ 1.025 almost exactly 72hrs after pitching yeast. Wort temp is 68F, expected FG is 1.020.
FG 1.020 reached 96hrs after pitching yeast. I'm leaving it for my usual 3-4 weeks in the fermenter to let the yeast clean up, but it's completely fermented out.

Reason: Updates...
I have used this yeast fuel, I don't remember anything remarkable about the fermentation. I remember the little capsule that was supposed to dissolve only dissolving half way and the other half floating around in my boil.
Just used it yesterday, stout started fermenting about 6 hours later and this morning its racing pretty hard. Used S-04. My capsule didn't melt right away but it did eventually.
I'll be using mine thisweekend. Arn't we supposed to pop open the capsule and let the powder fall into the boil? Or is the capsule material part of the useful ingredients here?
i got my sample on monday, sadly i had just brewed a batch the day before on sunday so i will have to wait till my next batch. Thanks so much I'm excited to give it a go!
