You're more likely to get oxidation from moving to another barrel than from just pulling the basket out.

Not the way I do it. It all done with CO2, pushing from one keg at 8-10psi to next keg that is venting at 2-5psi. the recipient keg is purged and Im filling from the bottom.

Just bought one, couldn't pass on the sale! I chose the Local Meet & Greet option for shipping so I'll be seeing you soon (I'm the one who PM'd you telling you I live in Val Vista Lakes).

Anyone use this and remove after dry hopping? Does the wort filter through the mesh and splash? Can you lift slowly and remove without disturbing the beer?

I've only had the chance to use it once so far because of the time I've had to brew but it worked great. Simply add your hops, submerge in keg and purge out any O2 with CO2. Remove hopper when desired and purge any air out with C02 once again. Lifting it out slowly and smotthly depends on how many beers you've had.

These can be used for more than just hops. Fruits, seasonings, spices, oak chips and whatever else you want to experiment with.

I'm brewing tomorrow sometime. I have a Dunkelweizen on tap if you want to grab a cold one!

Does this fit in the racetrack style corny's?
