hey guys - thanks again for all of the kind words and helpful suggestions!
I do want to address some comments to help clarify the potential product/service:
If everything works out, the labels we'll be offering will be full bleed (to the edge), digitally printed onto a actual gloss print stock (not to be confused with crappy thick photo paper) - or - polypropylene - which is kind of a glossy, opaque plastic material. Both will be moisture-proof. I'm also working on getting a lower tack adhesive for easy, easy removal. The label will be a professional looking, serious label - not your average exacto & milk job. We're trying to do all of this for the lowest price possible - BUT - I can guarantee you that it won't be $5

I mean, as much as I'd love to be able to do that - it's jut not possible. (I think it would probably cost $5 just to have them printed on bond white letter paper at Kinko's.

)
A few have mentioned offering a wide assortment of die shapes - eventually, we'd like to do that, but we'll have to initially start with some stock shapes - mainly because we'd have to create/buy the dies. For those of you that have done any print purchasing, that ain't cheap! It's actually the use of the stock dies (and some other negotiations) that's even letting me get things into a "homebrewer-friendly" price range.
I also like the idea of bulk rates - so to answer a few of you - yes, we will definitely be looking into either a bulk savings, frequent printer reward system or possible both.
Depending how this all plays out and things progress, we may also explore some other print options/products (maybe not the coasters as someone suggested - I've actually been looking at pulpboard for a client and I'm not having a lot of luck from vendors with that)
Again - thanks to all for your time and feedback!
