Any thoughts on a preferred HBT customer sale. PM a special code to everyone who has spent X dollars in the past 12 months.

Some good ideas out there, and please keep them coming.

As far as ramping up with extra people I have done that with pretty good success, it is just difficult to get extra people available when we need them, and have them keep up with our normal high pace, when they are inexperienced. Not their fault by any means, but it takes a while to learn where 80+ grains are stored, and all the equipment.

Of course I have not tried a sale since we got our new mill operational, which would make a big difference in the speed of us getting orders out. We used to hate crushing grains due to how long it took, and now it is faster to crush a recipe than to not crush a recipe.

Now that wouldn't be fair to us first time homebrews wanting to try out Brewmasters warehouse. I live only about 40 miles from the store and could drive there I guess to pick up my items Im wanting. But anyone whom has ever lived in Atlanta knows that a combo of traffic/rush hour and gas prices is a pain. Its just eaiser to order online.
However, I opt for option #1

I have thought about a preferred customer sale, the only thing that has held me back is matching HBT names to actual names. I know a bunch of them (like yours) but not nearly all of them. Plus it would have to come through an email since PMs are not the best way to get the word out (you can only send to 2 people, and 1 PM per minute, I think).

Any who are interested in a discount could PM you their name & email address, then wait to hear from you. Then you could compile an HBT contact list for future targeted marketing campaigns.

Great Idea, I think I will start a thread on that topic as well.

I like yoopers idea. If you spell it out when you are giving out the coupon code that regularly priced orders will be processed before those using the coupon code there should be nothing to complain about.

Lets give option 1 a quick test run today just for giggles. 10 orders, and then I am turning it off. Use code HBTSALE. If you miss it today do not worry I will run it again soon, and if it goes well perhaps even tomorrow.

I agree with you, but at the same time there is nothing to stop people from complaining about it. Fair or not fair complaints still hurt our reputation, and I do not want anything to hurt our reputation.
