I picked up a set of the "Big C"s last week and used them this weekend. I am very pleased with them. I was using brass hose QDs before which were leaky and frustrating. Recirc flow increased significantly and absolutely no more leaks. Very happy customer. Thanks Bobby.

I just bought a mess of BigC's A's, F's, and dustcaps (can't remember the letter designator). I installed and used a few of them Sunday morning and they worked perfectly (no leaks, great flow).
Very happy customer here. (also, the little scale is very cool, and the big-face timer is sweet!).

I finally was able to get around to using the "Big C"s and the BL combo cam locks. They made a world of difference in flow and time to transfer from vessel to vessel. Also I had an issue with my order and once I let Bobby know about it he jumped all over it and shipped out the missing things from my order right away.

I've been using MNTP ends on my camlocks and screwing them onto silicone tubing. The hold is tight enough I don't even need a clamp. What's the advantage to using the big C or the BL kit over this method?

It's just a bit more ghetto to use threads as a hose barb than some would like. It is possible for liquid to spiral around the threads and cause a leak and I know I won't be leaving off the clamps any time soon after I blew a hose off between the pump and plate chiller trying that. I'm not saying anyone should be taking apart their system to replace all B with BigC, but if buying new, go for the high flow barbs.

Well, I wasn't worried before, but now I'm imagining hot wort exploding out everywhere. I'm not sure I want to put compression clamps on the threads as think that would lead them to cut into the tubing more and produce the liquid spiraling effect you mention. Perhaps you'll be seeing an order for 6-8 modified street elbows once they're back in stock...

Can't wait for these to come back in stock. Will be buying a couple sets and some pumps from Bobby.
