Also, it can get a little "interesting" to be locking down the pins on the female connects towards a hot kettle....

...and the sealing surfaces of the E, F or A males will be more prone to damage on the end of your hoses.

Hoses get dropped and tossed around a lot. You don't want male ends of the hoses to get nicked up from drops on the floor. It might cause a leak.

Also, if the female ends were on the kettle, the handles on the female end would get heated up along with the rest of the kettle, and when you go to attach the hose using the handles...you'd better have an Ove Glove on or you'd be sorry.

I am in the market for camlocks (finally) and this is exactly what I was looking for. I'm glad you are marketing these. Can't wait for the store to open back up!

I'm thinking about ordering some camlocks and silicone tubing. Is there any reason I would need hose clamps on a gravity system?

I'd say no. With a pump, I would consider it risky.

However, for the price of the hose clamps, why not?

I was thinking the same thing. My concern was the hose might slip off. So If I go with clamps is cleaning the connection gonna be a problem?

Yeah I'll add them anyway's. I'll use them one way or another. Thanks.

I've never cleaned mine except to spray them out with a hose. The ones connected between the boil kettle, pump, and chiller get boiling water recirculated through them for the last 15min of the boil, so sanitized that way.

A pump will make a world of difference for you, especially if you do 10g batches.

I was tring to keep my operation as simple as possible. Now I have a brewstrawsity and transfering the liquid from keggle to keggle is the only problem. I've been making 10-12 gallon batches. To be honest, I've been using Pex tubing and sharkbite connectors but it's a pain to clean. I've been hitting my numbers pretty well with batch sparging. Actually I'm consistanly high.
