Camlocks ---> Next Level
|
|
Friends, I'm thrilled to announce some new stuff. First of all, I should mention that we just lowered the prices on all our camlocks. I think we have the lowest price, if not in rare company.
What I'm really excited about are the two female camlocks we've developed for hose connections. I think most of you already know about the BL kits we have where a type B camlock is coupled with our high flow elbow barbs.
Here's the new one. I call it the "Big C" because it's modeled after the regular type C, but with a much bigger machined barb.
It's way better than the regular type C and it's cheaper than using a type D and a 5/8" hose barb. Even better, it's ready to go with no assembly.
Here's a comparison of the barb options out there... we don't sell the top one anymore. If you want your pump to strain like uncle John the morning after Thanksgiving, take it to another vendor
These are all ready to go right now... Let me know what you think!

Sweet - I'll remember the "Big C" when I order cam-locks again.

Any chance of getting a "Big F" camlock?
My kettles/hoses are backwards from most.

Great, after I just ordered all of my new camlocks last month! If only I had known!
Its all good, just giving you a hard time. Looks like the prices came down a bit, which is awesome! I have not seen them that low anywhere else.
Anything else new coming down the pipe? This reminds me, I need to order up another sight glass for another keg I am going to try to polish up this weekend.

I think you're actually thinking of the E... male cam to hose barb? I don't think enough people have the backwards setup to justify the quantity I need to order. It would be like a 7 year supply :-) I think the best option for you would be the 5/8" hose barb with the type A on it.

Love it. Still saving a few extra dollars before I buy a bunch of these. Great work.

Excellent. I'm changing out all the connections on my system soon to camlocks. Thanks Bobby.

Very nice! This may be a silly question, but does anyone know if camlocks are standardized so that different manufacturers parts are compatible? For example, the camlocks I'm using right now are from bargainfittings.com, so I'm wondering if I can simply change out my existing female camlocks for these ones or would I also need to replace my male fittings? I'm guessing they are but you know what happens when you assume.

I used to carry the exact "brand" that bargain fittings (and every other homebrew biz in the U.S.) does but I've recently started directly importing to cut out the middle man. That's why my pricing is a little better, my stock will be more consistent, and I have customizing options. Rest assured that cross compatibility was a major factor in this decision and I've tested all configurations between prominent stock and my new supply. Truth be told, my new stock is a lot easier to close, both to it's mated brand pairs as well as to other existing stock.
