Want to make a lager but dont have the ability to? Yeah me too! So I am introducing Californication! A very skilled brewer in Denver made this recipe and I loved it since the first time I made it! He was kind enough to share it with me so I am passing it on to you. Using two row, Munich, and Carapils and then Northern Brewer and Cascade hops it is a wonderful blend that is easy on the palate.
Both recipes use White Labs WLP810 San Francisco Lager yeast which can be fermented anywhere from 55-68 degrees! Most people can obtain that year round using a tub of water and a t-shirt as a swamp cooler. See this link

Available in an all grain or extract version, both come in right under 5% ABV.
Extract version is made with DME and steeping grains. Steeping grains are packed in a muslin grain bag perfect for steeping. 5.5 gallon recipe.
All grain recipe is based on a 5.5 gallon recipe at 70% efficiency.
Both recipes come with detailed instructions which may or may not need adjusting to you own brewing style. Try this and I think you will love it!
