The contest runs from 8/16/09 until 9/13/09. I went back a couple of days since everyone would be emailing asking to get in anyway.
Each order placed during the contest to receive 1 entry into the contest. Orders must be at least 5 days apart to be considered for entry. I just do not want people placing an order for a couple of cheap things every couple days trying to get additional entries. That is against the spirit of the giveaway.
Once you are entered into the contest by placing an order you can receive up to 5 additional entries by sharing recipes entered into the Brew Builder. Recipes must be complete and placed into the appropriate style category. The limit is 5 to avoid people just putting random recipes into the site to get a bunch of entries. Same with the category. We want legit recipes for people to look at and give feedback on. Any recipes already entered into the Brew Builder will be considered for the contest. You do not need to come up with 5 other recipes just to get more entries.
One bonus entry for going to the Member Profile section and completing the Display Name field. Represent your recipes proudly.
I did not do any math but I think people should be maxed out at 10-11 entries which is really not much of an advantage. I reserve the right to disqualify any entry that has been deemed to be against the spirit of the contest. All decisions will be final.
The drawing will be held on Tuesday the 15th . My 17 month old daughter will pick the winner out of a hat. First one she grabs and hands to me wins.
I could be wrong here (and hope I am) but in many (most?) states it is illegal to have a sweepstakes that requires a purchase because it is considered gambling. Generally people get around this by having an alternate free way to enter by sending name/address/etc on a postcard
When I save a recipe, and I am looking at it on the saved recipe page, there's no way to automatically add it to the cart there. I have to walk through two steps to go to edit and then to buy.
Also, on checkout, you need a "Billing Same as Shipping" checkbox.
Yes we do. I am not sure what happened to it, as there was one throughout the building phase, but it seemed to have disapeared somewhere along the way. If you go to the My Account section you can fill in all of your information and never have to do it again.
