The developer has talked about working on an iPad version as part of one of the future upgrades, but I haven't seen a timeframe spelled out for that.

Odd question maybe, but what kind of a built in (or externally available) recipe catalog exists for the software?

Hoping there is a decent set of base recipes to work with.

There is a set of built in recipes. Also, I've seen folks posting and swapping their favorite beersmith recipes over in the beersmith forums.
