Ball valve question...
|
|
Do you prefer 304 or 316 stainless ball valves? 304 is less expensive. Should I carry both? Thanks in advance for your opinion.

I doubt the average consumer knows the difference, or cares. But, if you have the space and resources to carry both, it might be worth it.

316, cheap Stainless sucks. How about some 409?

I can say I had no clue as to the difference but if it is a substantial price difference I bet most people would just buy the cheaper ones.

I can't imagine it would be worth your while to stock both, and I also can't imagine that very many (cheap-ass) homebrewers are going to look beyond the price when doing their comparison shopping.

If there were both options and the 316 was only a couple bucks more I would gladly pay extra for a 316 grade ss valve over a 304

This (cheap-ass) homebrewer opted for brass to save a couple of dollars!

I will track down some 409. Or would you rather have 316L?

Same here! 316 would definitely be worth more to me than 304, but it's usually too hard to find.
