We've learned our lesson on beta testing. Beta testing for software is usually free and I think we gave the wrong impression that our beta test was going to be free too, although we did not intend to imply that. Beta testing for software is usually also for a limited time, after which, they shut you off and/or offer up a discount. That's more like what I envisioned, an upfront discount and the ability to send back the product for any reason with us paying return shipping too.

Well, I still feel bad as it was my communication that was lacking. So.....next time, its free products for beta testers, and to keep things sane, I promise I won't announce it here unless none of our facebook friends are interested (probably unlikely). Forgive our learning curve as we're new and charting some very untested waters. Unique, personalized and custom products all with a no-bs full money back guarantee on a business that is relatively low margin. We've been told a lot of stuff, like "that's flipping stupid.", "you won't last a year", and "clients will abuse you." It's been about a year, we're still here and all of our customers have been fantastic. Occasionally, we're going to totally screw up....but we will do our level best to make it right. So, we'll give the free product beta test a try. I can't guarantee we'll keep it as my business partner ("wife") is not completely down with my idea, but she's giving me enough leash to choke the crap out of myself. If it works out, she'll come around. Otherwise, the couch is pretty comfy and the kegerator is downstairs. ;)
