The website says you get 1 free shipping for every 2 months, or a total of 3 "coupons". Which is correct? Or, maybe the website is just poorly worded?

You get 3 coupons for just "Free Shipping" and 3 coupons for "Free Shipping + White Labs" (one coupon give you 2 things). So that is a total of 6 free shipping coupons and 3 vial of yeast.

Technically, Each of the 6 coupons has a two month window to use them during the 6 month membership.

1 "Free Shipping" and 1 "Free Shipping + White labs" coupon can be used during the 1st and 2nd month. (use them in any order you wish)

1 "Free Shipping" and 1 "Free Shipping + White labs" coupon can be used during the 3rd and 4th month. (use them in any order you wish)

1 "Free Shipping" and 1 "Free Shipping + White labs" coupon can be used during the 5th and 6th month. (use them in any order you wish)

are these coupon codes sent via email? If I were to buy a membership and order at the same time could I use one of my coupons right away or would I have to order membership and wait for the coupons before placing an order?

I went ahead and purchased the membership. I figured if I buy two beer kits with WL yeast it will pay for itself already! But can you tell me where I access my additional coupon codes? I used the free yeast + free shipping with my order. Should I expect an email with the free shipping code valid for the next two months, or will it show as an option next time I place an order?
