Here I was all sad, SWMBO said I couldn't buy any more brewing equipment until after the wedding, and the march pump was on sale! I was getting ready to buck up and pay the extra $20, but I suppose I can wait three days. Cheers!

Got one! Spent three hours in the garage testing my new allgrain system. Most of that time was spent trying to prime the pump. I think I got it figured out now. Some how cussing and throwing tools seemed to help... or at least that's what I did before it started working.

Forest, just an FYI, after all the money I spent at your octoberfest sale, my wife gives me the evil eye anytime I get on your site.

I finally tried the one I bought from AHS last month...are they supposed to make a gawd-awful screeching sound when you plug them in?

Where you running the pump dry? If so that may be why there was the noise. Those pumps should only be run with liquid.
