I just used this for my first batch with grains I crushed myself. My efficiency shot through the roof! I was getting in the low/mid 60% and this batch is 78.15%!

Correction, it's 81.09%!

I got 81% from my first time using mine. But I think that the factory crush setting is a little too fine, I am going to adjust it a tad for my next brew so that hopefully sparging goes a little easier.

Not sure what you Sparge set up is, but I have never had a issue with a difficult Sparge. I use a 10 gallon round cooler with False Bottom. I used this for around 20 batches.

Well, the whole system is being redesigned currently... Mashing in a 10 gallon cooler with a false bottom for right now.

So is the Rebel Mill Grain Crusher available or not? I sent an email asking to purchase one....no answer. I checked the site and it said....not available. But folks on this post are getting them. Do I need to get on a waiting list or something?

Thanks
Allan

Generally a private message to them here will get you on the list.

I would email them again, and give them time to respond. Or you could try calling them, Tyler and the crew have always been helpful and friendly whenever I have dealt with them in the past.

UPDATE: The fabricator that we had doing the manufacture on the Rebel Mills went belly up (not for quality issues, it was more administration issues) and we got our last load of them that have already gone out to the folks at the top of the list.
We are currently in negotiations with a couple of new fabricators which might take a little while because we are very demanding on the quality and durability as well as the price point to keep them affordable.
I was hoping to have the first batch ready to ship in time for Christmas, but I don't want to rush them. They have to be perfect.
I will update here as soon as I know something.

Thanks to everyone for their interest and for those who were lucky enough to get one, I hope you are enjoying them.
Tom

Thank you for the update Tom. Can't say I'm not disappointed though since I'm actively looking for a quality mill right now. Sounds like Rebel's mill would have been exactly what I was looking for. :-(
