I will probably just get the 3/16 fittings and call it a day.

What/where is your source for 3/16" fittings?
Thanks.

On a second look it appears the listing I was looking at from beverage factory actually included 1/4 barbs. I have found 3/16 tail pieces no problem though, just can't find the barbs.

try these

I emailed them yesterday and they responded that these pieces are SS.

I use SS elbow tailpieces on my shanks and now I think I'm going to get these to replace the standard swivel nuts for connecting to QDs and sanke couplers

Sweet thanks for the tip! I didn't want to have to melt the dang tubing on to 1/4 barbs. I have gotten crud up in the barb area before and the prospect of having to take it all apart or cut it apart just to clean didn't sound good to me. Thanks again!

Yeah, totally done messing with this tubing. It's working "okay" for my beer line. Maybe I just got lucky. It WILL NOT work at 30psi for my soda. I've tried EVERYTHING . Every clamp , every method. I can't imagine that this tubing is worth this many headaches. I've spent hours trying to get it to work. Just a heads up to anyone thinking about using this for a higher psi. Even for the trouble I went through to get it to work on the 1/4" beer fittings doesn't seem to be worth it although it's working for the time being. FYI I was going to just order all 3/16 fittings like you're supposed to use but even those leaked on my ball lock connectors when I tried it. With both worm clamps and ear clamps. I'm very dissapointed , the hunt for new lines is on.

So as an update. I kept on keeping on. I finally ordered the single ear oetiker clamps and bought the 3/16 stainless barb fittings and got MUCH better results. So much easier to work with and by double clamping my soda lines I got them to seal up to 30 psi. Trick is , when you boil the water, stretch the tubing and put it on. Clamp immediately and then I put it in the freezer until cold before trying to use it. Much better. I still have one line with 1/4" barbs but it's not even worth the hassle. The tubing starts to get wierd stretch marks and doesn't look good at all. Again I do have one line working with 1/4 barbs but it's not worth it in my opinion. MY suggestion to Birdman is to just carry the 3/16 barbs and call it a day.
