Awesome! Thanks for the feedback! FYI - There are only 22 40-plate chillers left for purchase out of the incoming shipment.- Jeff

Nice. I just purchased the 50 plate chiller. Pretty damn excited.

Do we expect the 50 plate chillers to ship at the same time as the 40?

Ordered one of these back when you started the deal. Got a question for anyone who has experience with these. I plan to gravity feed mine and I am doing 5 or 10 gallon batches. I am wondering how I do this without a pump. Do I run it into my carboy until it reaches my pitching temperature, dump the carboy back into my kettle, and then let it gravity feed the rest of the way? It seems the best thing to do would be use a pump and recirculate it into the kettle until it is at pitching temps.

I use a huge ice bath with a sump pump to recirculate the water. I did 5 gal gravity fed from the pot through the chiller straight to the carboy.

unless you have really warm ground water you should be able to just gravity feed through the chiller straight to the carboy. I get to ale pitching temps in a single pass without too much trouble.
