what is the quality of these compared to other ball valves? do you sell the fittings as well?

Grimm 09-27-2010 06:03 PM

i ordered up 2 of them, thinking i might order another set as well. I also wonder if you sell the weldless (keg) fittings for these. That would be marvelous!

304 stainless. High quality. Go to www.austinhomebrew.com for fittings.

Thanks for your help Forrest, I received my ball valves a couple of weeks ago. Very high quality, but the valves take a lot of force to open them. Should I grease them, or loosen the screw on top of the handle?

When you are using the valves you never turn the valve without them attached to something. When they are attached to something, the leverage makes them easy to turn.

Would these valves be good for making keggles, or putting a valve on a SS kettle? What about for converting a rubbermaid into a mash tun? Are these ideal?
