Default Yeast storage

Just had an IPA kit delivered (Midwest Supplies). The kit comes with a White Labs Caifornia Ale yeast. I won't be brewing until Saturday or Sunday. What should I do with the yeast in the interim (fridge, etc.) or does it matter?

you could make a starter tomorrow for a Saturday brew day (or Sunday). Until then keep it in the fridge.

Normal storage for liquid yeast is in the fridge.

I highly recommend making a starter before using it in a batch of beer. Check out mrmalty.com for great info on making starters.

Cool - thanks for the help. This is only my second effort and I had dry yeast last time and bewed with it the day after I got it, so I wasn't sure about this one.

It's in the fridge - thanks again.
