Default Yeast settling question

My hyrdrometer reading was sitting at around 1.018 which was a little higher than i wanted/needed for my recipe and I was out of yeast, so I swirled the yeast back up in the beer and switched it back into a sanitized bucket. My FG is now right, but should I allow more than a couple days for the yeast to settle or do you think if it is used up it should have settled in that amount of time?

Allow the yeast to settle more. The less you have in your bottle the less you'll have in your glass.
