I'm brewing a 2.5 gallon batch of a porter today using extract and steeping grains. I have a normal WYEAST pack, my question is do I use the full amount, or do I also cut that in half?
All of it. Even if you are over pitching it's not much of a big deal. Plus, it's not like you can save that stuff. Well, I guess if you really wanted to and had some sterilized vials laying around you could but just pitch it all.
