Default Wort seems to have seperated...

I made my first oatmeal chocolate stout the other day (Saturday) and everything went off without a hitch. OG was 1.060, a bit higher than expected but still no worries there. Now, it's fermenting and the yeast layer seems to have settled in the middle of my fermenter. I switched the blow off tube to an airlock since it's not getting too vigorous. I included this image to show what's going on

Do I have to agitate the wort so that the yeast gets to the bottom area? Will the yeast eat it's way to the bottom? I'm using a British Ale yeast.

Did you put cocoa in the beer? The one time I used cocoa it did the same thing. I found that it didn't actually mix into the beer, it just settled immediately on the bottom and then looked almost exactly like what you have there.

Your picture is pretty rugged, but I think you are fine. The yeast should eventually settle to the bottom.

However, this is based on the fact that; we don't know you recipe, or what temp you pitched yeast at. Posting that info would be helpful in answering your question.

Oh I apologize, i had the recipe posted on a previous topic of mine (thanks again Bradsul!)

http://www.homebrewtalk.com/f13/oatmeal-stout-first-time-60797/

I did not end up adding chocolate to the boil, nor the Vanilla. Only grains, DME, Hops, and British Ale yeast. Temp was around 63F. Steeped Oats, and Grains in a seperate pot with 1 gallon of 150F water for 30 mins. Threw it in a strainer, and rinsed with 1 gallon of 150F water.

It's ruined. Send it my way and I'll dispose of it properly.

Looks fine to me.

Checked this morning, it looks like the yeast is slowly breaking it down.
