wort chiller question
Im building a wort chiller and I wanted to know if when you place it in the boil to sanitize it do you remove the plastic pipes for running colder water through? Or does it not matter?

If you meant the lines that bring the water to/from the chiller, no, they stay attached.

yea those are the ones...ok thanks...that what I thought but I worried about them melting...

just built your wort chiller so they are far enough away from the edge of the pot. If they were to touch the pot for a prolonged time I could see them melting depending on the material.

ok yea no the copper tubing comes up 2-3 in above pot then 90 degree turns out another 3-4 in then vinyl tubing is placed on that...

If you did it right, the tubing never touches the pot. :)
