Default Wort Boiling Question

One you get the water boiling and add your DME and stir till it is disolved, is stirring occasionally after that a bad idea? I have done 2 batches now and gave it a stir everly like 10 minutes during the boil.

Not a bad idea (not hurting anything) but probably not needed. You should achieve a rolling boil which is more turbulent than what your spoon provides. Only time I muck with a boiling pot is with a ladle in case I boil up and get hops on the side; use the ladle to take some wort to pour em back into the brewpot.
