I had the wort chiller in my wort for about ten minutes when I realized I forgot to put in the last half of my LME! For better hop utilization my intention was to add the last half at the end, NOT after I cooled it to 150.

I stirred in the rest of my malt and boiled it for ten minutes. This kinda messes up my plan of brewing the same as my previous batch with suttle tweeks.

Any thoughts on this?

Also, what have you screwed up and how did you fix it?

I have no real idea but I bet it's ok. Sterilized, probably will make the best beer you've made all day!

You probably boiled off some of your hop aroma, and may have increased your IBUs slightly. If you're dry hopping you might want to up your quantity by 1/4-1/2 oz. I wouldn;t worry about the any increased IBUs because A) there's not really anything you can do about it, and B) because unless it's a very bitter beer to begin with the difference is probably below- or close to the threshold of detection (5 IBU), which is the sort of variation that can happen from batch to batch anyway just from the dozens of variables we have to deal with.

Yeah, its probably ruined. Ill wait till it ferments out and drink it as I can while screw up another batch, haha.

I made this batch before and it was really good, which is why I wanted to do it again and tweek a couple things. One of the things I was planning for the future was a little more bitterness. Maybe, ill get that. I'll give it a little more in the dry-hop and see what I've got.

Cheers!

I did the same thing once. I don't know if it was coincidence, but it was a very explosive fermentation. The beer tasted great as well.
