When to cold crash

I'm brewing a pale ale and was wondering when I should cold crash it. Is it beneficial?if so, When, how cold and how long?

cold crash right before you're ready to bottle or keg. I drop mine down below 40 when i cold crash. It'll clear the beer up. that's the main benefit. If you plan to bottle condition it'll still clear it up a little but it'll slow down the process big time. instead of 2 weeks bottle conditioning you'll be looking at a month to 6 weeks roughly

How long if you plan on kegging? 2 or 3 days? Or longer?

I crash it until its clear. Most of the time its a day or 2 depending on the yeast.
