Would like to know something simple. In the recipes, are you guys working with U.S or imperial gallons??? it has a change of 1 liter per gallon.
US gallons I would expect. Everything from Europe, including recipes from England, I see using litres.
Unless noted I think it's safe to say we're dealing with US gallons.
The board is probably 90% USA, so unless it's Orfy's recipe, assume US gallons.
Remember one unassailable statistic, as explained by the late, great George Carlin: "Just think of how stupid the average person is, and then realize half of them are even stupider!"
"I would like to die on Mars, just not on impact." Elon Musk
I hate both tipes of gallons.
How much is an Imperial gallon and who actually uses that measurement. Just wondering I have seen it in print before.
Can I have your business card?
5 imp gallons = 6 U.S. gallons
I use US gallons and I assume the same measurement for everything I read here.

A few times, people discuss things like The (Canadian) Brewhouse kits which use Imperial gallons, and that might lead to confusion. But almost always, it's US, with the occasional metric thrown in.
100% of the time I assume US.
