Default Turkey fryer for brewing

Have a 5 gallon turkey fryer pot that I've used twice for my only 2 batches I've brewed, one in batch in bottles other fermenting. I seen the fryer pot had a few scratches in it and what not, and was wondering if this would harm the beer at all or since it boils in it if the scratches were nothing to worry about? Thank for replies.

Anything subjected to more than 156 degrees will not suffer from using a scratched vessel. Your fermentors and bottling buckets need to be smooth and scratch free since they never reach a homoginizing temp and bacteria could hide in a scratch and ruin the brew. I use starsan and BTF (Oxyclean Free) religiously and never scrub too hard on my low temp equipment. You'll be fine with what you have, just watch for boil overs because they make a huge sticky mess.
