My initial gravity measured at 1.051 and after about 3 and a half weeks of fermentation I've reached 1.015. Is this sufficient for bottling? The calculated ABV (4.86%) seems a bit off for a dry irish stout.

Also, my brewing kit came with a 5 oz. priming sugar pack but I'm assuming this is too much for a 5 gallon batch, so would norther brewer's calculator be good enough to calculate the correct amount?

Thanks in advance :rockin:

Probably ready. But your really should first make sure the SG is the same for 3 days before bottling.

Use an online calculator to determine how much priming sugar to use.

I use the northern brewer priming sugar calculator and/or homebrewdad.com for the calculator. Works great. As for the gravity, sounds about right, but I would definitely check at least once, but more preferably twice
