Default Stout and what yeast

Hello I'm thinking of making a oatmeal stout with a few additions ( flaked rye and crushed chocolate malt ) any good tips on a good yeast to use for the fermentation

I just made an oatmeal stout with 001..

I've also used 002 in the past.

001 and 002 are white lab strains. Google "White labs 001" or use 002 and it'll pop up.

Sorry, it's the white labs designation.
WLP001 is California Ale - clean and neutral WLP002 is English Ale - kind of fruity and lower Attenuation

I recently did a split batch of a stout (2.5 gallons in two fermenters). I did half with Denny's Favorite and another with Bell's yeast (American Ale II - 1272 is a good substitute) and both turned out amazing. I hear English ale yeast works well too if you like your stouts to have a little more sweetness.

Safale 05 and 04 are both acceptable for a stout (s04 is a bit sweeter though and s05 is more neutral )
