Default Steeping Question

Started an extract batch about an hour and a half ago. I put the steeping bag in and it's still not at 155 degrees... It's in a turkey fryer with 5 gallons of water. Not really sure why it's not raising temp faster than it is. It's an extract recipe and the grains are 1.5 lbs of Crystal 15L and 8 oz of honey malt... What should I do? SHould I wait for it to get to 160 before I pull it or should I pull it now?

You'll be fine either way, you're safe until you hit 170. I looked up the weather in Newington, CT, is it really around 45 degrees outside? This is the reason I am going to insulate my cheap pot.

Wish I was brewing right now! (Jealous)

HillBilly is right, it doesn't really matter, just get them out before 170
