Use a bag, but remove when temp is at or just below 170 degrees F. Dont squeeze the hot bag, it may burn your hand. I do heat about a quart of water to rinse after removing, but not really necessary. If over about 1 1/2 lb, I use 2 bags
Don't squeeze at all! Get the temp to 150-160, then let it sit for 30 minutes. Then pour (sparge) about a half gallon onto the bag to get the rest of the "juices" out. Never squeeze the bag...it will release tannins.
Grain bag. It is a serious pain to strain later...
Every pirate lives for something different. For some, it's the open sea. For others (the masochists), it's the food. For you, it's definitely the fighting. Two things complete your pirate persona: style and swagger. Maybe a little too much swagger sometimes -- but who really cares? Arr!
