starter question
when i pitch my yeast into my starter and put it on my stir plate do I
1.have the stir on for 24 hrs???
2. poke a hole in the aluminum foil on top of my flask to allow CO2 to escape?

Yes, stir continuously to oxygenate the beer as much as possible to encourage yeast growth.
And no, don't poke a hole in the foil. It will be fine without it.
