Default sorting out kegging equipment

I was given a kegerator with a tap and hoses and a keg hook up......last night was given a 20# co2 tank....just figured out the keg coupler I have is for a sanke keg NOT a cornelius keg..... I know there are 2 types of corny kegs....Which type is best? I need to get a couple of kegs and connectors.

The common style keg most of us use are ball lock. The other style is pin lock. They use different connectors and have different color connectors for the in and out. secure your kegs before buying the connectors so you dont get stuck with unusable parts.

ball lock kegs/equipment are a little easier to come by.

But if you find a good deal on pin lock stuff, its worth buying. I'd Keep the sanke and add a cobra tap to the top of it myself.
