How do I remove the old beer smell from my Ale Pales?

if all else fails try OXICLEAN

soak it in oxiclean and hot water for a couple hours...

i clean it really well, let it sit for a week then clean it again prior to using it again. havent had any issues with it smelling after the 2nd cleaning. (then it get sanitized)
