Usually a red area, sometimes a pustule will form with a foul smelling discharge...wait, did you mean BEER infection?!?!?

Visual signs could be stringy snot like ropes going down into the beer or a plasticy, bubble, veiny pellicle on top of the beer. Yeah, I know, suddenly the pustules don't sound so bad, do they?
