That being said, you might consider leaving the beer on the yeast cake for the entire fermentation process (other than conditioning) next time for the yeast to make the best beer. This is what I have been doing for months now. I read somewhere that primary for more than a month is ok. If you think about it, it not only furthers fermentation to get cleaned up at a good pace.....it also adds to flavor.
